You've seen a short teaser, then a timelapse of the shooting, and here come three screenshots of the coming video to the song "Hiding The Light" by Underhill, off their forthcoming "Silent Siren" album (adn146, coming out mid-March). One is right here on top of this post, two are below, and while we won't reveal anything about the story of this video, it will be released online in time for the album.
Friday Freebie on a Tuesday (just because): Matta have assembled a llittle package containing seven tracks they have been giving away for free recently via various social networks. Click here to download it and enjoy these two new tracks and five remfixes of originals from Björk, Pablo Gad, Suzanne Vega and others.
We've shown only a very short teaser so far, but there's a full length video coming for Underhill's track "Hiding The Light", off their forthcoming "Silent Siren" album (adn156, to be released on March 12th on vinyl and CD). The shooting of this video took place on January 16th at Berlin's Subland club, and while it shows little of what the final video will look like, here's a little timelapse of this shooting, also providing a small excerpt from the song "My Shadow" off "Silent Siren".
Mysterious and inviting? Here is the teaser to Underhill's first full length album, "Silent Siren" (adn156), which will be released on March 12th on Ad Noiseam, on CD, vinyl and digital.
Underhill is Martina Astner, MC Coppa, Current Value, Ivan Shopov (Cooh / Balkansky) and Dean Rodell. "Silent Siren" is an album which will single-handedly define a new genre (we look forward to the new style names). Mp3s previews, full video and more information will follow soon.
This new video, prepared by the Polish VJ Icyd and combining both VJ techniques with studio synchronisation to the beats and bassline, can be watched here or below.
To people who attended the Ad Noiseam night in Brighton on Friday: James of Matta was hit by a speeding car while leaving the club, between 6am and 6:30am. If you witnessed this accident, and most of all if you noticed the license plate of this vehicle, please get in touch with us and with the Sussex police.
We had written some time ago that there would be a lot of newcomers on Ad Noiseam in 2012. These new acts are not only side-projects of people we already work with (such as the Underhill supergroup or Igorrr's Whourkr project), but also musicians that are somewhat newer to the scene and haven't work with the label yet. It's time now to present the first of them, Oyaarss.
Latvia's Oyaarss is not yet as well known as it should (and will) be, but this act has already had a remarkable record released by our friends of Creative Space, and recently had a remarkable remix on Cloaks's "Versions Grain", released by 3By3. It's now time for this musician to come with a first full length album, the topic of today's announcement. Entitled "Bads" (meaning "Hunger" in Latvian), this album is an astonishing work combining walls of gritty noise, gigantic percussions and a slow but deadly tempo, the whole thing bathing in resolute but subtle darkness. Somewhere between the headbang-inducing metal, the tempo of dubstep and the details of modern-day noise, this album is, we insist, an particularly impressive one, set to make quite an impression.
The list of prirzes is impressive: not only will the three winners get copies of the album and of Ivan Shopov's "Lights & Shadows" book & CD, but there's a microphone from sE, a full copy of Reason 6 and various Soundcloud accounts in the lot as well. All the details about this contest can be found here.
The deadline is February 23rd, meaning that you have almost a month to get behind your samplers and keyboard, get the source material and submit your remix. We look forward to listening to what you will all come up with.
