Our good friends at Byte.fm have taken notice (as everybody should) that the party of the year was taking place on the 1st of May in Berlin. A special feature about this event and the six acts performing there (Enduser, The Teknoist, Broken Note, Cardopusher, Hecq and Lapsed) will be aired during the "Hidden Tracks" show next Tuesday at 22:00 (central european time). Make sure to tune in in time, and even more to attend this event.
Who has said that people into music couldn't use their eyes? The Ad Noiseam store is asking if our children is learning, and does so by offering a 10% sales on all books in the catalog. Some contain creepy crawly monsters, some are full on street art, and there are plenty more. So go ahead and get something to look at while you listen to good music. And don't worry, it's all written pretty big and comes with pretty images.
Before being signed to Ad noiseam forseveralreleases, Raoul Sinier had released two albums under the "Ra" moniker on labels that sadly stopped their activities shortly afterwards. These two albums, Coredump's "Raoul Loves You" and Sublight's "Wxfdswxc2" are however now available again, as legal digital downloads. Both are presented here in "extended" versions, meaning that you get 6 more tracks on these versions than on the original CD. These two albums can be purchased directly from Ad Noiseam, here for "Raoul Loves You" and there for "Wxfdswxc2".
Watch out: we still have a few copies in stock of the original version of "Wxfdswxc2", which contains a bonus DVD on top of the CD album (these videos are not included in the mp3 version). Grab it here while we still have it.
And finally, watch out for more material from Raoul Sinier on Ad Noiseam later this year.
Continuing from the previous post about Larvae's tour: an interview with Matthew Jeanes will be aired tomorrow evening (22:00in Germany) on the internet radio Byte.fm during the "Hidden Tracks" show. Be sure to tune in for some inside information about Larvae and the ongoing tour.
Larvae have arrived in Europe, and here is a run-down of the fourth show to be played by this act in the coming week.Note that the new "white label" Larvae DVD will be available at all these concerts, directly from the band and / or Ad Noiseam.
All the dates and the DVD trailer are after the break.
Ad Noiseam is proud to announce the release in the summer of 2009 of "Here Be Piggies", a full length collaboration between The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble and Nine Inch Nails, thought as a companion to TKDE's forthcoming album, "Here Be Dragons".
Nine Inch Nails's Trent Rezner had the following to say about this remix album: "I wanted to try something different, something genuinely more underground and boundaries-pushing. Getting away from mainstream rock has been my wish for years now, and I found in TKDE the perfect people to jam with. Partying with TKDE / Bong-Ra's Jason Kohnen also helped me get over my straight-edgeness, and releasing on Ad Noiseam brings me back to the times I was a struggling musician scraping for money. I am having fun again, finally".
"Here Be Piggies", a 6 tracks, 66 minutes-long remix album of "Here Be Dragons", has been recordedby both bands working together, and will be released shortly before TKDE's new album, in the late summer 2009. Mp3s and videos will be available online soon.
For this album, Trent Reznor assembled a new NIN line-up, featuring Armando Acosta, Terminator X, Jasmin Wagner and HP Baxter.
The british magazine Rock-A-Rolla has good taste. Not only because they have Isis on the cover of their new issue, or interview Wolves In The Throne Rooms, Nadja or Mono, but also because this very issue contains a double page feature about The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble, who speak about the band's inception, their live gigs and of course the new "Mutations EP". In other words, if you live in the UK, get a copy of this magazine alongside this CD / LP (and you might also want to have a look at the reviews of the recent Larvae and Teknoist albums a bit further in this magazine)
White label, handmade packaging, no release information, and still, this is the real thing: after years of fans asking to be able to bring the videos that Larvae are showing at their concert, somebody finally jumped the gun and produced a DVD of them. The whole thing, as far as I know will be available only from the band and from the Ad Noiseam online store. We have received our copies, and pre-orders can begin here (those of you attending the Elektroanschlag festival next week will also be able to get this DVD there).
This untitled DVD contains 14 of the videos that Larvae are showing at their gigs (all with optional audio commentaries) and some extra, and can be shipped from us starting on the 6th of April. I can already hear all the wookies, godzillas and 8 bit characters screaming all at once "finally!".
