A visual (black) "Mass" for Matta
Saturday, 26 June 2010 19:23
"The Lost", the debut solo record by Matta has received a lot of praises since its releases a few months ago. While this british duo are soon to embark on their first shows outside of their country (in Berlin on June 30th and Hamburg on July 3rd, later in Denmark), a new video for the track "Mass" is yet another reason to listen to and enjoy Matta's material.

This video, directed and cut by the regular Ad Noiseam collaborator ID:Mora, shows a very dystopian and fast evolving scenery, whose mixture of harshness and beauty reflects well Matta's music. On the technical side, this fast and ever changing video was done entirely with still image, no actual video-footage being used at all. It might seem nothing when you read it, but watch the video below and you'll realize how much work this meant.

Dim the lights a bit, turns the volume up, and enjoy this video to Matta's "Mass":

"Mass" appears on Matta's "The Lost" (adn126), released by Ad Noiseam in March 2010 and available on 12" record and digital.
