Video of Igorrr performing as a live band at Dour 2014.
Wednesday, 15 October 2014 12:50

It's been a year since we first announced that Igorrr would now be playing some most of his concerts together with two live singers (Laure Le Prunenec and Öxxö Xööx's Laurent Lunoir). Things are going very well with these shows, which have happened all over Europe already, including some high profile festivals.

Following a first video of Igorrr's live band playing Lyon in April, then one shot in Toulouse in May, here comes a third, this time documenting a concert played at this year's Dour festival in July. As usual, it is intense, fun, beautiful, and very professional. Enjoy.

Machinecode's sample pack beef up your analogue techno,
Tuesday, 14 October 2014 17:05

Dean Rodell and Current Value, the two creative minds behind Machinecode, are not only known for their crystal-clear, heavy and sharp productions, but also for the wide stylistic range of their creations. While they are getting ready for the official release of their new Machinecode album, the powerful and imaginative drum'n'bass "Samurai" (adn181, about which you can read here, and which you can pre-order on CD or as digital files), they are working on sound design which might be as diverse as purely atmospheric or punishingly beat-driven.

Samplephonics (the company with which Ad Noiseam had partnered for the remix contest of Balkansky & Loop Stepwalker's "8.9") has just released a new Machinecode sample pack entitled "Analogue Techno", and which contains just that. You can download a freebie here, or purchase the whole pack there. Below is a demo of the sounds featured in this pack, created by Machinecode themselves. It's warm, driving and precise, yet very different from "Samurai".

Official video to Ben Lukas Boysen's "Nocturne 1"

Official video to Ben Lukas Boysen's "Nocturne 1"
It will have taken a long time, but the wait was worth it. Ad Noiseam, in collaboration with Eben, is proud to present the official video to Ben Lukas Boysen's track "Nocturne 1", which appears on his 2013 album "Gravity" (adn168).

Shot on location in Paris and edited over the course of several months, this video provides a personal and touching visual imagery to one of the tracks at the core of "Gravity" and nicely fits its slow drumming and introvert piano. It was directed by Yoann Vellaud, based on an idea by Jonathan Rados, who was already behind two videos using Ad Noiseam-released music.

You can watch this video to "Nocturne 1" here on Vimeo, there on Youtube (blocked in Germany, as usual) or there on Dailymotion. Once you are done, read more about "Gravity", get your copy on LP, CD or as digital files, or check Hecq / Ben Lukas Boysen's latest album, "Conversions" (adn178).

Announcing Machinecode's new album, "Samurai"

Ad Noiseam is proud to announce the forthcoming release on the label of Machinecode's new album, "Samurai". This new full-length album by Current Value and Dean Rodell follows their two albums as part of Underhill (this year's "Prologue" and 2012's "Silent Siren") and is this project's first on Ad Noiseam. It is the duo's second album for this year, following "Velocity", which was published by Dean Rodell's Subsistenz label.

Together with Monolog's "Merge" (adn178, out now, available on CD / poster / digital), Oyaarss's "Zemdega" (adn182, coming on October 20th) and Swarm Intelligence's "Faction" (adn183, coming November 10th), Machinecode's "Samurai" release on November 3rd will round up Ad Noiseam's Autumn 2014 collection.

You can read more about "Samurai" on this page, where you can also stream excerpts from every track. Pre-orders are also possible, both for the CD version of this album and its digital pendant. As usual, pre-orders get a rebate.

For the click-shy among you, here's already a taste of sounds to come with "It's Time", the opening track to this new Machinecode album.

Machinecode - Samurai - adn181

ImageMachinecode's fourth full length album is the one in which Current Value and Dean Rodell let their creativity flow wild. Stylistically diverse, daring in its experiments and rich of their production expertise, this is an album which includes dancefloor-packing tracks but also goes further. "Samurai" is as much the product of technical mastery as it is a work of soulful beauty: crystal-clear drum'n'bass, deep low-frequencies, innovative beat-work and evocative soundscapes form a coherent whole of the kind which is too rare in this genre. Ad Noiseam welcomes Swwarm Intelligence.
You heard some of his collaboration with Monolog on "2 Dots Left" (adn172) and will on "Merge" (adn178, officially out tomorrow). We've praised his latest "Black Iron Prison" album, and booked him at last year's Burn The Machine festival. Time has come to welcome Swarm Intelligence to the Ad Noiseam roster and announce "Faction", his first release for the label. This new full length by this Berlin-based producer will be released on Ad Noiseam on November 10th, and can already be pre-ordered on CD, as a poster-print with download code or as digital files. As usual, pre-orders get a rebate.

We'll post much more about about from Swarm Intelligence soon, but here is already "False Flag", the opening track to this "Faction" album (adn183).
