Friday freebie: Gore Tech returns to the mainframe with a new free set.

Friday Freebie: Ad Noiseam announced the addition of Gore Tech to the label roster a year ago, following in March 2013 with the release of his "Machine Throne" EP (adn166). Back then, we had introduced this musician with a free mix called "Mainframe Warfare", which you can still listen to here.

A year later, Gore Tech offers us a sequel, this time in the form of a DJ-set played at Berlin's Subland club at a party for New Year's Eve 2014. Featuring a bit of his own material but focusing heavily on like-minded artists, "Mainframe Warfare MK II" (whose artwork was prepared by Shift again) can now be listened to here or below, and downloaded from the Coretura website.

Trailer to "Plugs", a documentary about electronic music in Greece.
Thursday, 09 January 2014 21:18

Update January 13th:: we are now embedding a version of this video with English subtitles, so the whole thing is not reserved to Greek people anymore.
The Ad Noiseam roster is rich in acts from Greece: from Stavros Gasparatos and his recent "Seven" album, to Mobthrow and Subheim (both planning new albums this year) and Spyweirdos's "Epistrophy at Utopia", we have had a good relationship with electronic music from this country for a long time.

The trailer above, advertising the forthcoming "Plugs" documentary, is therefore welcome not only because it features Mobthrow and Subheim, but also because it aims at presenting this vibrant scene, active in (obviously) difficult times. While this is directed uniquely at people who can understand Greek, we urge everybody who does to first watch this video, then look forward to the whole movie.

Use sounds from Ben Boysen, Fausten, Monolog and others to win Ableton Live 9.

Everybody who attended the 2013 edition of Berlin's Burn The Machine festival last November received a bracelet bearing then-confidential information about a remix contest co-hosted by this festival and Ableton. These people have now had a couple of month upstart, and it is now time to make the Burn The Machine 2013 & Ableton contest official to everybody.

Several artists who performed at Burn The Machine 2013 (including several Ad Noiseam artists: Ben Lukas Boysen, Balkansky Fausten, Monolog and Machine Code) have specifically prepared sound banks which you can download for free on this contest's information page. Once you have them, you will need Ableton Live (a free trial version is available) to create a track. Send your creation to Burn The Machine before March 1st to enter the contest and win several prize, including a full copy of Ableton Live 9 Suite.

All the information, sound packs and details are available here. Be creative, have fun and impress us.

Ad Noiseam office closed for the holidays.

Update: the holiday season is over, and all is back to normal.
It won't come as a big surprise, but should be mentionned to prevent misunderstandings: the Ad Noiseam office will be closed between December 24th and December 30th. All online store orders placed in the meanwhile will be shipped on December 31st and January 2nd. Orders for digital releases are not affected.

Sorry for this inconvenience. We wish you all a merry Christmas and thank you for another great year of good music. People in Berlin might want to join us for the best New Year Eve's party in town, by the way.

The new Ad Noiseam label shirts are here.
Thursday, 19 December 2013 18:43
Ad Noiseam label roster shirts - available in red, blue, green and grey.

The long talked about new series of Ad Noiseam label shirts are here. First available to the audience of the Burn The Machine and Maschinenfest festivals this year, and already displayed proudly on stage by several artists, these new shirts are now available to everybody in our online store.

These shirts show half of the Ad Noiseam logo on the front, and the other half filled with a complete list of all the artists having released on the label between 2001 and 2013 on the back (which yes, is a good way to check which ones you know, and which you still need to listen to). Additionally, these shirts are part of our effort to break the mold of constant black shirts. We have often been guilty of printing black shirts (though there have already been quite colors already) but this time around, these shirts are available in red, green, blue and grey only. No black ones (and no grey ones for the women sizes).

As usual, these shirts are sweat-shop free, fair-trade and printed on organic cotton.

Scroll below for more images of these shirts. They are all available right here in the Ad Noiseam online store.

Ben Lukas Boysen's "Gravity" is the sound of post-apocalyptic "Sundays".
Wednesday, 18 December 2013 19:08

We wrote last week about Ben Lukas Boysen's "Gravity" (adn168) material being used in a short movie about "Bonnie & Clyde", and have another very nice project to present today featuring this artist's music.

Below is the teaser trailer to "Sundays", a movie by PostPanic curently in post-production and planned for released in 2014. We do not have any precise information about its story, but what looks like a tale set in a dystopian future is particularly pleasing to the eyes, and even more so to the ears. The music to be heard in this trailer is "Gravity"'s title piece. Enjoy.
