Stavros Gasparatos "Seven" - Ad Noiseam adn170

Out now and available on CD and as digital files is one of Ad Noiseam's most evocative and original releases of the recent times, as well as the label's first directly linked with a theatre soundtrack. Stavros Gasparatos's detailled, deep and mesmerezing "Seven" album (adn170) is officially released today.

“Seven” is the album presentation of the soundtrack to a stage performance by Stavros Gasparatos, one of Greece's leading modern composers and sound-designers. Mature, coherent and very subtle, it is a beautiful journey through sharp electronic music and modern classical instrumentation. Evocative and powerful, this album carries the richness of the original live show, creates a rich sonic imagery and takes its listeners along a mysterious but elegant story.

We are happy and proud to be able to present Stavros Gasparatos's music to our audience, as it is a particularly beautiful, intelligent and interesting experience which we hope we can share with a broad audience.

Stavros Gasparatos's "Seven" is available in the Ad Noiseam online store here. Below is a first excerpt. You can find many more here.

Friday freebie: download a complete soundtrack by Stavros Gasparatos

Friday freebie: we're getting very close to the release of Stavros Gasparator's new album ("Seven", adn172, coming out next Monday). And while a lot of people (at least in Greece) are familiar with this composer and sound-designer's work, many might not have had the luck to listen to his music yet.

You can already listen to several excerpts from "Seven" here, but we give you the opportunity today to listen to no less than nine tracks by Stavros Gasparatos, composed as a soundtrack to a performance of Tennessee Williams's "The Glass Menagerie", shown in 2012 in Greece. It differs a bit from "Seven", but should give you an accurate idea of the scope of Stavros Gasparatos's talent and the depth of his atmospheres.

A diverse Autumn: presenting four new Ad Noiseam releases.
Monday, 23 September 2013 14:27

Ad Noiseam releases: Stavros Gasparatos, Ruby My Dear, Monolog, DJ Hidden.

We had a long summer pause this year (busy as we are with the coming third edition of the Burn The Machine festival), but a lot of new music was beging written for you, which we are now getting ready to unveil. Four full-lengths, two new artists on the roster, two new albums from acts you know already: Ad Noiseam is happy to announce the release this Autumn of:

Stavros Gasparatos "Seven" - adn170 (CD) - September 30th
The first release for this Autumn (coming out in a week) is a new album by an artist we are very proud of being able to have on Ad Noiseam, as his music is at the same time very original and extremely deep. "Seven" is the album presentation of the soundtrack to a stage performance by Stavros Gasparatos, one of Greece's leading modern composers and sound-designers. Mature, coherent and very subtle, it is a beautiful journey through sharp electronic music and modern classical instrumentation. Evocative and powerful, this album carries the richness of the original live show, creates a rich sonic imagery and takes its listeners along a mysterious but elegant story. Information and audio excerpts / pre-order the CD / pre-order the digital version.
Buzz:

Ruby My Dear "Form" - adn171 (double LP / CD) - October 21st
Ruby My Dear's first album, "Remains Of Shapes To Come" was an impressive and very remarked one. Here comes his sequel, which is also the first vinyl release ever from this musician. Breakcore for the human ear and mind: Ruby My Dear takes his complex and energetic breaks to a new level with his second album. More organic, more flowing, this new full-length doesn't focus on one “Form” but shifts with elegance from hard to beautiful, from exhilarating to seducing. Enriched by a very lush sound and an impressive recording quality, it is the confirmation that Ruby My Dear is one of the top producers of the genre. Information and audio / pre-order the double LP / pre-order the CD / pre-order the digital version.
Spleen:

Monolog "2 Dots Left" - adn172 (CD) - October 21st
The second newcomer to Ad Noiseam this Autumn is an experienced musician, but also a (so far) very underrated one. Time to correct this. A hidden treasure no more: Monolog propels himself to the forefront of cutting edge drum'n'bass and electronica with this amazingly intense album. A lesson in music production and an impressive display of controlled madness, “2 Dots Left” is a tour de force made of deep basses, very percussive beats and high tempos. Monolog manages to makes his what most people could only experiment with and comes up with something which, while overwhelming at first, proves to be extremely absorbing and rewarding. Information and audio / pre-order the CD / pre-order the digital version.
Estrangement (featuring Dean Rodell):

DJ Hidden "Enclosed" - adn173 (double CD) - October 28th
DJ Hidden's third full length album is such a rich and encompassing experience that a few words can't do justice to its diversity and sharpness. A seamless combination of all of Noel Wessels's projects and tastes, it takes its listeners from the calmest, most evocative ambiences to the fastest, most pounding dancefloor highs. Nobody writes a track like DJ Hidden does, and we highly doubt that anybody is going to catch up with a musician whose blasts outside his expected boundaries with such commanding force, as “Enclosed” is a lot more than a regular album. Information and audio.

Tuesday, 17 September 2013 13:50

We've recently showed you some nice footage of Igorrr playing live in Montreal some months ago. Here comes a video from another concert played in a cold country with about ten minutes of Igorrr's set last week-end in Moscow. The sound is ok-ish and should give you an idea of the craziness and live aspect of Igorrr's shows.

On a side-note today is Andy Matta's birthday. To celebrate, all Matta releases on Ad Noiseam are 10% off in the Ad Noiseam online store. That's only today (September 3rd), though.

Gore Tech wants you to go back to your mama.
Tuesday, 03 September 2013 10:31

While Gore Tech is slowly but surely working on a new Ad Noiseam release as a sequel to "Machine Throne" (adn166), he just uploaded a challenge of sort: asked by the new UK label Formyl to write a 100BPM tune, he decided to focus on the dub rather than the "step" or the "core". Here and below is the result. Ya man.

Therefore, whether you've seen Igorrr already and want to reminisce about his concert or whether you're curious as to what his concert look and sound like, here's an accurate shoot of this show. New video for Enduser's recent "Retox" track.

Here and below is a new video shot by Loulwa Beydoun for Enduser's recent "Retox" track, taken from a record of the same name and released on a label of the same name (incidentally available on glorious pink vinyl here and as mp3 or FLAC there). Melodic, syncopated, humane and breakcore: this piece is pure condensed Enduser, and this video is yet another reasong to listen to it.
