And another video using a track from Hecq and Matta. While the original version of "Sura" (from the record of the same name, adn128) already appears on two showreels (one, two) and Matta's "Suicide Stutter" in yet another one, it's this time the remix of Hecq's tune by Matta which got picked up to be featured in an advertisment for no less than Audi (yes, the fancy cars).
2010 is living its last hours, and Noel Wessels (aka DJ Hidden or one half of The Outside Agency) and Ad Noiseam have a parting gift for this year.
"In Passing" is a first give-away sample introducing "From Memory", the début album by Noel Wessels's new Semiomime project. This long-awaited, carefully crafted and "quite different" project will finally get its first album on 11-II-11. After many delays, reworks and announcement, the album is finished, will be available for pre-order very soon. But here comes already something to listen to.
You can listen to "In Passing" below, stream it here or download it there. Enjoy, and best wishes for 2011
In our series of short interviews with Ad Noiseam artists, we sit down today with Raoul Sinier. With four releases so far on Ad Noiseam, including the "Brain Kitchen" and "Tremens Industry" full length album, more artwork and videos that you can shake a stick at, this Paris-based musician, painter and graphic artist has been at the center of the life of Ad Noiseam in the recent years. He has now started to write a new album to come out in 2011, following another forthcoming EP for the young british label Oeuvre, expected in January. Let's see what he has to say about the past, present and future of his multidimensional creations:
You remember that Niveau Zero rocks harder than you, right? Or that he put the Maschinenfest crowd to its knees a couple of months ago? Here we are at it again, with three new videos showing more than half an hour of the man wrecking havoc in Rennes, France last month. Mind you, this town is also the cradle of the famous Peace Off / Ruff labels, so Niveau Zero couldn't afford to under-deliver. But I'd definitely call this "over-deliver" this time around.
Here's the first part of these three videos. The other two are after the cut.
