First of two remix records for 16 Bit's "Chainsaw Calligraphy", which originally appeared as a B side on their "In The Death Car" 12" (also on Boka). On this one, Jakes turns this otherwise pretty beaty and clear track into a mushy, gritty and heavy monster, keeping only a fraction of the original sounds intact. On the flip side, some guy call Propatingz about whom I don't know anything strays truer to the drive and efficiency of 16 Bit, and chops up the track anew into a quite catchy remix. A nice companion to an excellent track.
