Addison Groove seems to be getting the lion share of Antony Williams's attention at the moment, even though he's still best known by many people as Headhunter. This new album on Modeselekter's Fifty Weapons label is not going to change this, all the more considering the club-appeal and DJ-friendliness of this "Transistor Rhythm". Both feets are still planted (or dancing to) juke and footworks, but it doesn't sound as retro and as hectic as on some earlier Addison Groove records. Things are a bit clearer, quite more accessible and a lot funkier (most of all with the two tracks featuring Spank Rock). Zeitgeisty and "big-sounding" but quite well done and efficient.
