"Mavje" is the long awaited fruit of the collaboration between Andrey Kiritchenko (who I should not have to introduce here) and worldwide recognized Francisco Lopez, known for his experimentation with drones, noise and musique concrete, and for his intense live sets. Coming in a very nice heavy cardboard sleeve, this hour long work features clearly both artists' skills and tastes, from Lopez's deep drones and low frequencies to Kiritchenko's clam textures and gritty elements. Clearly a CD that fans of both should not pass on.
