It's not the first time that Badawi wets his feet in dubstep waters, but this new label of his and this new release featuring a Shackleton remix hits the nail on the meeting point of this seminal composer and the trend of the moment. All in all, it still sounds very illbient to me (remember all these guys doing "dubstep" under another name in the 90's?), with an excellent semi-accoustic track on the A side, a glitchy spoken word Shackleton remix and a more abstract third piece. Not your usual brainless dubstep piece of wax, though less than a complete Badawi album, but still a good record for anybody interested in this essential figure of slow bass music.
