If my first impression of Bar 9's material with his recent record on Audiofreaks had given me the feeling that this guy was all about über-massive, merciless heavy dubstep, this three tracker on the ill-named Dark Circles label proves me wrong. A bit faster, a whole lot more dub a and less "in your face", this record shows a lot more subtelty and sense for the roots of dubstep than I thought it would. Maybe less of a mean dancefloor filler, but something which is definitely more accessible
