A long time in the making, and finally there: Ben Lukas Boysen sheds the Hecq moniker and signs here his first (and not last) soundtrack to a real, honest-to-god movie, and does it with brio. I haven't seen this film, but its soundtrack is an uncommonly dense and intense mixture of thick dark ambient soundscapes (think of Hecq's "Night Fall") with more modern classical elements (with a couple of nods to Ligeti, in my opinion). Encompassing, mesmerizing, crystal clear and closed by credits from Nils Frahm: here's the Ben Boysen / Hecq soundtrack you have been waiting for. Recommended.
