Bong-Ra's fouth full length album is a clear case of split personality. The first half presents four downtempo but highly jungle-infused tunes for which Bong-Ra hired Sole to lay prominent, grandiose vocals on top of a clear but percussive backdrop. The latest four tracks, though, are old-school, take-no-prisoner, instrumental Bong-Ra from his "Full Metal Racket" days: full-on guitar riffs and breakcore mash-ups, clearly written with his live-set in minds. The demon on the cover seems to me closer to this second half, but hats off to Bong-Ra for experimenting further with vocals in the first. Anyway, who am I to review this album: Bong-Ra fans know they need it.
