It seems like it had been a million years since I hadn't listened to anything new from Caul, and this new CD (a collaboration with the other American act Kirchenkampf) is a very welcome return to my CD player by this master of drones and atmospheres. As usual, this album is extremely calm and deep, but relies more on relatively warm and long drones rather than on soundtrack-ish elements to build its dark and mesmerizing tracks. The production is very good, and this is a CD I can easily recommend.
