Dark Sky's new double 12" for Black Acre is miles away from his previous "Something To Lose" record for the same label. A lot cleaner, a lot more garage and a lot less dubstep, it even reminds me a bit of some of the techno-leaning releases on the 7even imprint, with which it shares the same aerial, flowing sound. It's all rather laid back, though beat-driven and relatively fast, but constantly carries a sense of charm and beauty. Well done, though quite surprising.
