Very interesting new album by Datach'I. While his previous "The Elements" was a very dark and poetic IDM-ish album, "Shock Diamonds" is a much more abstract, but also much more produced work, in which the tones are crafted to the extreme. While the tracks are abstract and sometimes very broken, the sound itself is incredibly sharp and precise, making of this album something that not only the IDM / electronica should enjoy, but also all lovers of extremely well produced music. Not the most accessible CD of the catalog, but something contaning an impressive talent.
