Things have got a lot straight for Floating Points since we last heard of him on Planet Mu, but this new record on his own Eglo Records also sees this young producer improve his game considerably. With a slightly jazz house track on the one side and a very driven B side featuring some very well found basslines, "People's Potential" is on the one hand a pure house or electro DJ tool and, on the other hand, just a really very well produced, intelligently crafted and delivered record. In other words: a future classic single.
