Forbidden Society's first album is a very ambitious one. With a vinyl version spawning three records and coming with the full album on CD, it is quite a long work, full of collaboration (with Deathmachine and Sinister Souls, among others), but also something which goes head-on in a precise direction. Gone are the punk-ish, almost breakcore mash-up and metal influences, replaced here by a full-on attack on the drum'n'bass floor. Though bits of dubstep and hardcore (the two genres hard d'n'b is constantly being combined with at the moment) are to be heard here and there, "To The Thresholds" propels you straight to crowded, raving d'n'b parties (mostly in Eastern Europe), and does so quite well. One of the albums of the moment for this genre.
