First release by Gemmy containing more than two tracks only, this "Johnny 5" finally allows us to get a good shot at what this Bristol-based musician is about. A bit wonky, a tad of IDM but both foots still in dubstep, this "Johnny 5" is bassy as it should be (meaning more than most wonky stuff out there), relatively clean and varied (from definitely electronica influenced to very dub). Compact, coherent and raising my interest in this young producer.
