Though I do not know anything about Hotaru Bay (nor had I ever heard anything from her / him / them so far), this presumably first full length album released on Dirk Geiger's Raumklang label fits very well in what seems to be a new wave of downtempo electronica, alongside releases of the other German netlabel that is Crazy Language. Very calm, at times completely ambient (thought not drone-based), emotive and introvert without being really dark or obscure, "For The Stranded" is a very charming album, easy to get into and fitting for delicate and / or lazy Sunday afternoons.
