Three years after Integral's debut, this German duo's sophomore effort is an extensive, 18 track album in which their taste for downtempo dark electronica has ample time to be presented in all its shades. From the post-EBM beatier tracks to some very atmospheric ones and from synthetic sounding tunes to some using a lot of mid-eastern melodies, "The Past Is My Shadow" is both quite a big dish to swallow and something which finally gives time to Integral to show what they might be about. Here's something which might give them a new chance to shine, and which fits very well on the Tympanik roster.
