Very nice first full length album by Ital Tek. I had expected things to be quite club-friendly and upbeat, but is proved wrong as this "Midnight Colour" is a resolutely calm affair that focuses more on sounding beautiful than on making people dance. The crispy melodies of the current wonky dubstep sub-genre are to be found, but are used in conjunction with calm instrumentations and relatively slow tempo. A charming home-listening album which somewhat sounds closer to the late Merck roster than to most of Ital Tek's current labelmates. Recommended.
