He might not have released much, but James Blake seems to have already met or impressed the right people, as this 12" on Pangaea's Hessle Audio follows one on Untold's Hemlock and a track on Soul Jazz's second "Steppa's Delight" compilation. Pretty bassy and a lot less dub techno oriented that I had expected, this three tracker mixes dubstep, some very light housy vocals, jazz tonalities and IDM trickery in a weird but surprising fluid ensemble. Something to be checked out, and which definitely sounds fresh and new.
