Excellent new album for Jasper TX, and another proof that Deaf Center's Miasmah is a label to watch at the moment. A mixture of very low key, gritty heavy drones (think of Ben Frost's early materal, for example) and very slow and modest post-rock guitars, "Black Sleep" is a very deep, meditative and black album that sounds somewhere like a subdued jam between Stars Of The Lid, Adian Baker, Magwheels and the aforementionned Ben Frost. Very recommended.
