This first release by Jamie Vex'd new Kuedo project can be seen as a follow-up to last year's "In System Travel", as it keeps true to the zeigeisty bubbly and wonky post-dubstep hip hop that Jamie Vex'd had laid in his previous 12" (and, while doing so, stays very far from Vex'd original noise constructions). Fitting somewhere alongside Joker, Rustie, Hudson Mohawke, "Dream Sequence" has both feet rooted in what's fresh and hot in electronic music right now, but doesn't forget to also be a soulful, quite poetic and very detailled release. True to its times but still personal, here's a record I can't but strongly recommend.
