Third studio album for Loess already, but the first one on N5md. Quite an underdog of the whole american IDM scene, Loess fits perfectly in the rest of the n5md roster (next to the Merck and Neo Ouija CDs). These two musician create a very delicate, precise and somewhat dry sounding mixture of emotionally charged, beautiful electronica, clear and calm, and at times combined with nicely flowing drones. Somewhere between a beatier Andrey Kiritchenko and a colder Boards of Canada, "Wind and Water" is a perfect album for calm moments, intelligently produced and recorded. Recommended.
