Nice introductory CD ep for Maninkari, released a bit before their "Le diable..." double album. An interesting duo from France, this band serves a weird mixture of drones, accoustic noise, neo-classical instrumentation and downtempo drumming, the whole thing very well produced and recorded. Deep and rich in textures and changes, "Psychoide / Participation Mystic" is a good first taste of how varied and competent this act is, something underlined by the extra remixes by Scanner and Jesu.
