I know very little about Meinheld, but "Pale Clouds Passing" seems to be the first, self-released album by this Lithuanian artist which I had first come across on Section8's "Filthy Rhythms" compilation. A very energetic and percussive 11 tracker, it seems to be firmly planted in this grey territory somewhere between drum'n'bass, hardcore and breakcore, and pays repeated hommage to Enduser's staccato beats and long melodies. Things get a bit harder at times before calming down in a more downtempo way with some of the later tunes. All in all a welcome surprise and quite an album for this young act.
