While Mika Goedrijk's second album under his real name (rather than as This Morn'Omina) kicks off in a very industrial, dark-dancefloor friendly way, it slowly but surely evolves towards a more aerial and somewhat freer kind of electronica in its second half. While the sounds are relatively thick and the atmospheres heavy on the down keys, I was pleasantly surprised by this album and hadn't expected to get something encompassing such a broad and somewhat open-minded take at nicely flowing electronica. With such a second full-length, I'm looking forward to seeing where the third will take us.
