Interesting slight change of direction for MRK1, who leaves behind much of the tough-guy "filthy" dubstep he's been spitting out on Contagious and present a much more dub-oriented 12" for Studio Rockers. The A side features the title track in both a vocal and dub versions, but it's the track on the B side that gets me going, with its Distance-like use of guitar riffs and its well found but still modest drops. A classic but solid record for this producer, and well surprisingly one of the freshest he's done in some time.
