New album by Near The Parenthesis, one of the new pillars of the N5md roster, and still something which I find deeply rooted in the early 2000's City Centre / Morr Music sound of delicate poppy electronica and childish melodies. Things are resolutely electronic on this new CD, with little if any room left to the shoe-gaze or post-rock guitars, though. It's a bit too sweet for me (I guess I am not romantic enough), but it's all well executed, and might work on you for some pretty home-listening sessions.
