Magnificent third album for Near The Parenthesis, following last year's "Of Soft Construction", also released by N5md. Less synthetic, "L'Eixample" is a modest but touching album of slow guitars, light glitch and background electronica. Very atmospheric but not devoid of strong, almost epic moments, this album, completely instrumental, embodies well the new direction N5md has been taking, and ends up being one of the most pleasant album of the label since it turned its head to shoegazing material. Recommended.
