Following a sci-fi minded, more industrial-sounding debut, Photophob's "Still Warm" is a clear turn towards IDM and broken electronic for this austrian project. Possibily influenced by early Warp releases, and ending up sounding quite close to Beefcake (no surprise here), Photophob manages to combine the fast, clear breaks and the pathos-ridden melodies and samples without sounding cheesy or boring, which makes of "Still Warm" a pretty solid and enjoyable album, however beaten the path might be. Nice, and recommended.
