Solid 6 track EP from this prolific british producer, and something which fits a lot better on Hessle Audio that on his previous home of Soul Jazz. It's (post) dubstep all right, the bass is there and the rhythms are quite syncopated, but we're clearly in the same room as Martyn, Scuba, 2562 & co with these heavily techno-influenced, mid-tempo but dancefloor-oriented tunes. The sound is powerful but sometimes bleak, the beats are quite thick but the atmospheres friendly, and this is something which should go down well, even though Ramandanman might keep on being overshadowed by the artists mentionned above.
