The promotion around this album doesn't seem particularely loud, but this debut CD by Rudi Zygadlo turns out to be one a very nice one. As with his previous 12", this musician mixes all kind of current trends (a bit of dubstep rhythms, some very funky lines, or crunchy 8 bit tones) and sounds at first like the bastard child of Starkey, Joker or Raffertie. On the other hand, it works quite well on a full length formula, as some poppier songs and some trickier IDM moments reveal themselves slowly. Not quite something for the club, but an interesting way to twist a lot of current dancefloor-friendly sonorities into a more accessible and home-listening whole.
