It must have been quite a challenge for Skream to know what to do with his second full length album. His first was more or less a genre-defining affair, born at the inception of dubstep, both sticking to and delimiting the borders of the genre, but things have evolved radically since 2006. It's pretty unsurprising therefore that "Outside The Box" is so much all over the place. Obviously a lot more ambitious and thought of than Skream's regular EPs, this album has it all, from the heavy wobble to the sweet pop tracks, to the proto-d'n'b beats to techno leaning material. The production has taken a step forward, the packaging is a very professional affair, now let's see how Skream's audience react to the man's newfound maturity.
