After many singles and appearances, Slugabed finally comes up with a full length album in the form of this ambitious "Time Team". The whole thing is varied and might be a good snapshot of how diverse this British musician talent might be, but I can not shake off the feeling that it all sounds a bit calmer and more emotional than some of his singles (and that even though the recent "Sex" is included). Still beaty, this 8-bit rich album puts the focus on the melodies and arrangements rather than going for some of the more trendy beat-trickery of (some of) Slugabed's past, which is both surprising and welcome.
