Sonic Area's 6th album (but his first released outside of the Audiotrauma collective) is a stark departure from the noisier, grittier sounds of his past, both under this moniker or as part of Chrysalide. Rich in cinematic atmospheres, semi-classical samples (there's definitely more than a nod to Igorrr here) and aiming at building an atmosphere rich in spiritism, absynthe and 1900's aesthetics, "Music For Ghosts" is a lot less of a hard industrial dancefloor album as we could expect (though there are some tracks of the kind here), and more of a wild, home-listening ride, which ends up being quite coherent and showcasing a leap in production quality. Recommended.
