This is the first time I hear (of) Strobcore, but it's safe to assume a few things about him from this debut album: he's probably a young musician (hence the relatively cliché samples) and hasn't made a name yet in a precise scene (and combines therefore styles in a quite insolent way). With a lot of dubstep and drumstep sounds and the very surprising inclusion of dub-techno echoes and reverb, what one otherwise could take for another take at party-compatible crossbreed and hardcore becomes a lot fresher and more interesting. It's also a very long album, which therefore has a few unequal highs and lows, but proves interesting and not formulaic. I'm curious to hear what comes next and hopes that this artist maintain the originality demonstrated here.
