After a couple of CDs which, to be honest, hadn't reached me, the French duo Tambour Battant finally graces a big plate of wax with this insidious "Animals" EP, released by Chateau Bruyant, a new label / crew co-run by Ad Noiseam's own Niveau Zero. Drawing their particularities from the fact that one of these two musicians actually drums on all the tracks, "Animals" is a combination of heavy dubstep basses, breakbeats sonorities and incessant, complex electronic drumming. Things get even more club-friendly and French on the flip with the fidget-y remix by Canada's Zimo. All in all, this is very recommended, and most of all if you intend on making crowds dance.
