There would be a lot to say about (the) Panacea's sixth full length album. Eight years and many changes of scenes after the previous ones, it is uncertain if one should is entitled to expect a new "Low Profile Darkness". After much scortched earth and flings with other sounds, Panacea has folded back to what a very stripped down and focused version of his sound. Gone are the hardcore glow sticks, gone are the rave samples, and gone are the sudden breaks. This new (and very good looking) album is a compact, dark but classic drum'n'bass album. The good part is that Panacea knows how to write his tracks, which should work with his audience. The bad part is that d'n'b hasn't waited for him to go forward and come up with fresher ideas. In the end, a good oversized EP, but not the kind of statement that I was expecting.
