Another year and another album for Totakeke. This already fifth album by Synth-Etik's Frank Mokros's "less-noisy" project sees it dwelve deeper than ever before in the whole dark-EBM genre, and leave behind most of the more atmospheric and electronica elements that were to be found in its predecessors. The sound is still very multi-layered, quite clear and melodic, but there's clearly an intent at packing black-clad dancefloors over here. And mind you, while originality might not be the key word on this album, it might just work well in the right context.
