Very strong second album by this iceland project, following a first one on Switzerland's Spezialmaterial, and this time brought by our friends of Creative Space. Traject's music is a complex mixture of electronica and accoustic sounds, always keeping an experimental edge but with a very solid sense for digital production and melodies. A lot less "sweet" than most material coming from Iceland, but not as purely brainy as the vast majority of experimental, "Birting" proves again that Creative Space have a fine ear for material which manages to charm and challenge at the same time. Recommended.
