Released at the end of 2005 by the two russian labels Fulldozer and Nocharizma, "It Just Is" is a tribute to Coil's late John Balance, presenting 30 covers of classic Coil tracks, by acts ranging from the well known (Alec Empire, Alva Noto, Scanner) to the interesting newcomers (2/5 Bz, Kotra) or the locals. One will note how strong the Raster Noton label is implicated (with three acts), as well as the participation of one time Coil member Thighpaulsandra. Ranging from the very experimental to the more classic cover versions, a nice initiative which I hope will remind how essential Coil were and are.
