While one can assume that Vladislav Delay is better known for his dancefloor-friendly techno, either under his own name or as Luomo, it is in my opinion with his more ambient and experimental works that he delivers the highest quality. "Vantaa" is no exception to this rule. A magnificent work of slightly gritty dub rhythms, glitches drones and long soundscapes, it is an album which reveals itself slowly and proves to be both encompassing, touching and subtle. Very recommended.
